hmm .. reality strikes .. but a bit too late i guess :)

Well i am not a great fan of poetry . .. but these 2 poems below by my friend PC .. made me think a lot ... may be there is a lot of truth in them ...

Let it GO !!

Let go, I thought,

I pondered over events of the recent past,
and let go, I thought.

let go, because it hurts when you hold too long,
let go, because I knew, I have to, all along,
let go, because it's not always good for you to keep,
as tears become frequent and wounds become deep,

I wondered all that and now, next what,
and let go, I thought.

I sometime wonder, did I decide too late,
what were the hopes for which I could wait,
or I just wanted myself, not to think,
staring at nothingness, but didn't want to blink

now I remember, perfect, things were not,
and let go, I thought.

more I remember, more I tend to regret,
My heart becomes heavy and eyes become wet,
and more I try to console my self,
more I realize, it's of no more help,

a memory to be kept, that's what I have got,
and let go, I thought.

Love

a day will come when she will understand what i meant for her,
i had only one wish in life that we can always be together,
but now things have gone in a way which makes me so confused,
i wanted to get along with circumstances but my heart refused,
i never wanted to let her go through pain ever in her life,
but i have made her loving me as walking on the edge of a knife,
but you know, moemnt comes moment goes, someone comes someone goes,
some good as her, some bad as me and you have to chose between those,
she says i was laughing though my heart was weeping for her,
but i know, everyday, unwantedly,i m closing all the doors forever,
i dont know how would i live my life, how would i overcome this pain,
but one thing for sure i know, i would never love anyone again.

Is it the ENDulkar era?

Well I was out of action after my first post for a pretty long time guess...OK... I thought of Blogging about this long back and thought this would be my first blog...Ok lets get to the subject matter....This one is about Tendulkar....He, His and Himself…When Tendulkar hits a century people write reams about him and when he misses out ( mostly these days..) they write even more about him more gleefully with some intellectual questions.
What is wrong with his technique? Have the bowlers finally sorted him? Has the pressure of carrying the team getting on him? Is there something physically wrong with him? Everything in every possible dimension is discussed...

Experts analyze frame by frame and talk about his footwork, his technique.....which they praised like anything days before and give some suggestions for it. How can a batsman's technique go wrong overnight? And they often say "He is not a finisher. He often does not finish the match for India". I don’t understand the very idea of that sentence...Yes, I do accept that India has lost many matches in which Tendulkar has cracked a century or a grinding 70...But wait. ..There is no point talking about winning the match without that innings…. Don’t you ever feel that IT IS TENDULKAR'S INNINGS WHICH AT LEAST BRINGS THE MATCH CLOSE TO WINNING?.. What else can you expect from the master? He always gives his best for the team and the team has not reciprocated whenever he needed it badly. Apt example would be the test in Chennai when India needed 12 runs badly and Tendulkar after a brilliant century (which he did without fussing about his back spasms) was out caught of the bowling of Saqlain...Who is responsible for that loss? When four batsmen cannot hit 12 runs (for which they are in the team) is it right anyway to blame Tendulkar for not winning the match?

People now talk about Ricky Ponting as the emerging master blaster who will fast replace Tendulkar in the hundreds marathon in tests. Yes Ponting is arguably one of the best batsmen in the world. But he is also fortunate to have a team that supports his efforts and thus gives some meaning to his efforts. It was a disappointing moment for me when I saw the Indian innings declared when Sachin was on 194 at Multan. The Master deserved that double hundred….Wont you be sad if you were in Sachin’s Position? Yet the columnists criticized him for expressing his unhappiness. What, do they expect Sachin to dance after that incident? Yet the next day the smile on his face after he took the wicket of Moin Khan with that magic delivery said it all…Isn’t he a team man to the core?

The team has often let Sachin down and this has gone by far unnoticed. People blame Sachin if India fails but they don’t see how he was humiliated over the years. After the 1999 World Cup, which proved to be a disaster for India, Tendulkar was asked to don the role of a middle order batsman only to accommodate Ganguly in the opening slot. He obviously struggled for rhythm in that position but still accepted the role given to him. At last after full four years (what a waste in the champions career- Where were the people who are now saying that Tendulkar is wasting his time coz of injury?) during the 2003 world cup he was given the one down slot….. Phew a big concession for a big player!
And the rest is history… India would have surely struggled but for his masterful innings against Zimbabwe and especially against Pakistan.
Finally has Tendulkar been sorted out by the bowlers…? Or the pressure of always coming in at difficult times had prevented Tendulkar to go for his shots? All said and done I want to iterate here that I don’t subscribe to all these weirdo findings. Can it be justified that Tendulkar’s present slump in form is due to the fact that INJURIES HAVE GOT THE BETTER OF HIM? I beg to differ… I am not a great analyst of the game but I certainly believe that there is an element of change in his batting …There is a strange hesitancy in his approach…He is indeed a mere shadow of the Tendulkar who gave nightmares to the likes of Warne.

Obviously Tendulkar is the best batsman of the game and let there be no doubts about that. But still what I feel is that Tendulkar should learn from the likes of Sir Vivian Richards who single handedly turned the match for the Windies at Feroz Shah Kotla when he was 35. Tendulkar should freely indulge in such kind of stroke play. And one more thing that people have started debating about is the retirement of Tendulkar. According to me Retirement is the master stroke for any accomplished player and it is generally elusive. Greater Players have always made a mistake with their retirement like Steve Waugh, Kapil Dev etc.. causing restlessness among their hard core fans…I pray to god that Tendulkar should not be one among them. Sunil Gavaskar and Bradman belong to a select few who chose the right time for retirement.

IMHO I feel Tendulkar should play the game only if he is fully it … mentally to take up the challenge before him. So be prepared to welcome a new and resurgent Tendulkar or let him RIP. Obviously Tendulkar will make the right decision. Isn’t he the best batsman in the world?

Vandhanam to the Blogging Community

The Blogging Spirit was clearly on...Coz I was orkuting and dint find enough scraps to reply to ..Man this all elusive time has finally arrived and i have joined the blogwagon. With all my spatial settings clearly defined I ll be through...BE grad of Anna University.. Hosteller...Somehow I feel the structure of this blog is not inviting ..But the kind readers ( Voice of reason - Somebody hit Partha ( oh that's how I m called in the coll) with a hammer or something!)

One of the most fascinating things about Anna University (or CEG for the better known) is that it is at the heart of a forest- a forest without fauna and flora. I have been treated to a plethora of events with wild population of this college ranging from tiny bright red insects forming chunks (to do something which only God knows the best!) and marching in the pathways to monkeys climbing the ladder (evolution in front of my eyes!!.) in serious search of food I have also seen Deer eating grass so close that i could even touch them, Dogs attending signals and systems classes with cent percent attendance ( Who said only man had sixth sense). All along its been a fantastic journey for the past three years at CEG.. My future blogs will deal with those though in my next blog I m going to take some serious stuff.
